Terms & Conditions – RF Plumbing and Heating
(Legal Name: RF Plumbing and Heating Limited)
1. Introduction
These terms and conditions govern the contract between RF Plumbing and Heating Limited (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) and you (referred to as “you” or “your”) for heating, gas, plumbing, and related services.
Please read this document carefully. If you have any questions, contact us before accepting the quote.
2. Scope of Work " Quotation
- We will carry out the work as detailed in your quote for the stated price, subject to these terms and conditions. All prices include VAT at the current rate.
- Your quote is valid for 28 days from the issue date.
- Work must commence within 90 days of acceptance. If not, the quote may become invalid, and a new quote may be required.
3. Warranty & Guarantees
- A 12-month labour warranty is included with your installation.
- Manufacturer warranties on boilers and other equipment are subject to annual servicing by a Gas Safe registered engineer to maintain validity.
4. Hazardous Materials (Including Asbestos)
- Our quote does not include the cost of removing hazardous materials such as asbestos, unless specifically stated.
- If hazardous materials are discovered, we will pause work until you arrange safe removal by a specialist.
- You must provide a ‘site clearance for reoccupation’ certificate before we can resume work.
5. Waste Removal
- We will remove non-hazardous waste, including old boilers and replaced components.
6. Timeframes & Delays
- Estimated completion times are given in good faith. If delays occur, we will inform you as soon as possible and agree a revised timeframe.
7. Access & Flooring Requirements
- You may need to lift carpets or flooring (e.g. tiles, hardwood) before work begins.
- We will notify you in advance, and you may arrange for a specialist or request us to carry out the work for an additional charge.
- We are not responsible for replacing flooring after installation.
8. Property Protection & Damage
- We will take reasonable care to prevent unnecessary damage.
- We are responsible for damage caused by our negligence.
- Additional pipework or wiring may cause minor surface damage (e.g. wall finishes, paint). Any redecoration required is not included in the quote and remains your responsibility.
9. Permissions & Approvals
- Tenants: You must obtain written landlord permission before work begins.
- Listed Buildings: If your property requires planning permission, you are responsible for obtaining it before we start work.
- If work proceeds without the necessary approvals, you will be responsible for any legal or financial consequences.
10. Utility Supply Requirements
- A suitable gas and electricity supply must be available before installation.
- We can advise on arranging this, but ensuring supply availability is your responsibility.
11. Existing Systems & Compatibility
- If we connect new equipment to your existing system, we are not responsible for faults that arise later unless due to our negligence.
- We will test your water supply pressure before starting. If pressure issues arise later due to external changes, we are not liable.
12. PowerFlush & System Health
- If sludge or blockages are found, we may recommend a PowerFlush to ensure system efficiency.
- We may also suggest design corrections to prevent recurring issues.
13. Uncontrollable Circumstances
We are not responsible for delays or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Adverse weather conditions
- Industrial disputes or strikes (not involving our staff)
- Discovery of protected species (e.g. bats, birds)
14. Use of Approved Installers
- To complete work efficiently, we may use approved third-party installers.
- All installers used are Gas Safe registered and carry identification.
- We are responsible for any work carried out by these approved installers.
15. Payments & Finance
- Full payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed.
16. Cancellations & Refunds
- Customer Cancellation:
- You may cancel at any time by written notice.
- If cancelled without good reason, you must pay for any costs incurred up to the cancellation date.
- Company Cancellation:
- We reserve the right to cancel at any time with written notice.
- If cancelled without good reason, we will reimburse reasonable costs you have incurred.

- If we are unable to resolve your complaint, we may use an independent dispute resolution service.
18. Data Protection & Communications
- We may contact you via email, phone, text message, or other means regarding:
- Work updates
- Promotions or special offers (opt-out available)
- If you provide personal information on behalf of another person, you confirm you have their consent.
- We comply with UK data protection laws and will not share your details without permission.
19. Entire Agreement & Governing Law
- Your quote and these terms and conditions form the entire agreement between us.
- No other party has the right to enforce this agreement.
- This agreement is governed by the laws of England & Wales.
